The Erbo Group

The Erbo Group is a family-run business in its 4th generation, founded in 1912. To the Erbo Group belongs three companies, Rolli-Pet Tiernahrung GmbH, Erbo Spraytec AG and TriPlant AG. The company strives for continuous, sustainable growth based on a business policy geared towards innovation, long-term goals, reliability and customer proximity.

History

Back in 1912, Samuel Böhlen-Cottier laid the foundations for today's enterprise by setting up a small sales shop as a supplier and distributor.

1923

Spitalgasse Langenthal

Relocation of business activities at this site in the centre of Langenthal.

1962

Buetzberg site

With Dr. Ernst Bohlen the 3th generation consolidates the company in the Buetzberg industrial zone and develops its activities successively.

1972

Founding and beginning operation of Alifet AG

Founding of Alifet AG (now Erbo Spraytec AG). A first spray tower was built to produce and sale milk replacers for calves in Switzerland. 

1999

Rolli-Pet Tiernahrung GmbH

The 4th. generation took over the business and started the expansion in Europe. Founding of production company Rolli-Pet GmbH in Hargelsberg, Austria for pet food.

2009

New PP-500 Plant

Opening of a second spray tower, the PP-500 (ProCell Technology) for food, feed and cosmetic ingredients for its customers worldwide.

2016 / 2017

New warehouse / extension of the plant Hargelsberg

Beginning of operation with a new warehouse with 4800 storing positions. Extension of the plant in Hargelsberg, Austria in terms of quality, productivity and logistics improvements.

2020

Opening of the new multi-functional building

Apart from office rooms and premises for meetings and conferences with the latest technology, there are also situated modern changing and social rooms including a staff canteen in the new multi-functional building. The extended R&D rooms with functional flexibility on the ground floor afford ideal conditions for future product and process developments, innovation projects with customers, expandable laboratory capacities and space for now pilot plants.

The quality of the products, the production and services of the Group’s individual business units represent a decisive factor for our long-term success. All companies are certified according to ISO 9001. Different certifications available to suit the various requirements and activities of the respective companies.

Ecology

The Erbo Group integrates environmental, health and safety principles into its management systems. The corresponding programmes are then fully implemented in all the production plants. They strive for the continuous improvement of their environmental and safety performance by applying the standards OHSAS 18001 and ISO-14001.


The Erbo Group is constantly searching for manufacturing processes that reduce the consumption of water and energy and the generation of waste, and ultimately improve the efficiency of the production facilities and supply chain. External certification bodies and authorities carry out regular environmental and safety checks at the Erbo Group.
